Deal Island Marsh and Community Project (funded by NOAA)

This is a NOAA funded grant working on building marsh and community resilience in the Deal Island area of Maryland.  Our work employs collaborative methodologies to bring diverse stakeholders together to work on the problem of socio-ecological resilience to future climate change impacts.

Indigenous Knowledge and Climate ChangeThis project, funded for many years by the Brazilian National Institute for Amazonian Research, the Fulbright Foundation, the Social Science Research Council, and the National Science Foundation of Brazil (CNPq), explores the relationships between indigenous traditional narratives and practices to ongoing environmental challenges and climate change mitigation.  Janet Chernela
